City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 28, 2012 <br />V. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />1. City of Centerville March 15, 2012 through March 28, 2012 Claims (Check #27131-27150 <br />W/Voided Check #27137) & (Payroll W/H) <br />2. Centennial Lakes Police Department Claims through March 22, 2012 (Check #8861-8884) <br />w/Voided Check #8843 <br />3. Centennial Fire District Claims through March 16, 2012 (Check #5237-5240 Payroll & Check <br />#5241-5254) <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve the <br />Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VI. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br />Mr. Lee Mann, Customer Service Representative, Stantec addressed the Council and stated that Stantec <br />values the City as a customer, appreciates the performance review and is committed to working with City <br />to resolve issues that were addressed in the review. Consensus of Council was that the items had been <br />addressed during the projects and that they were satisfied with Stantec’s performance and that the <br />performance review was public information. Council thanked Engineer Statz and Mr. Mann for their <br />services. <br /> <br />Council member King arrived at 6:32 p.m. <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. None. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Res. #12-010 – Resolution Approving Internal Control Policy <br /> <br />Brief discussion was had regarding modifications to the presented policy and they are as follows: Page 6, <br />Cash Receipts, 2. Accounting Controls, f. second sentence, add the word “no” between “Under” and <br />“circumstances”. Page 1, Segregation of Duties, f., second sentence add the word “City” after “or” and <br />before “Clerk”. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher, to adopt Res. #12- <br />010 – Resolution Approving Internal Control Policy with the above stated modifications. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Mr. John Ficcadenti, All Around Fun – Request for Use of Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park for <br />Easter Egg Hunt & Inflatable Jump House, April 7, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Administrator Larson stated that the City had just received the permit application the day previous to the <br />meeting and there was not time for the Parks & Recreation Committee review. Administrator Larson <br />stated that this is the first time this individual has submitted to utilize the park and is a for profit business. <br />Discussion ensued whether the Lions desired to provide this event in the future, requirements for allowing <br />Mr. Ficcadenti’s use, number of potential participants, restroom facilities, and local business support. <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />
