Non - corrosive, biodegradable. <br /> Alternative for areas where chloride use must be limited. <br /> Higher cost. <br /> Winter Sand /Abrasives— Winter sand is sand treated Never melts — traction <br /> with brine or another blend. It is often used as an only <br /> abrasive for low- temperature conditions when chemicals <br /> are not effective.
