StdllteC
CENTERVILLE SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN
AMENDMENT PROCESS
September 2012
10.0 AMENDMENT PROCESS
The City of Centerville Surface Water Management Plan will require periodic amendments to
address changes and to remain current. Minnesota state statute requires municipalities to
update local surface water management plans within two years following a watershed district
plan update. The Rice Creek Watershed District amended its watershed management plan in
2012. The City has updated its local SWMP for conformance with the RCWD plan.
Updates of the Capital Improvement Plan and the Comprehensive Plan may also require an
update of the SWMP. Residents or businesses within the City can also petition amendments to
the SWMP at any time.
The City will conduct a public hearing on all proposed SWMP amendments. Notice of the public
hearing and a description of the proposed amendments shall be published in the local
newspaper at least 10 days prior to the date of the hearing. At the hearing, the City will hear all
comments on the proposed SWMP amendments.
One Team. Infinite Solutions. 10.27
46
