<br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Wednesday, May 2, 2012 ~ 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks & Recreation Committee of the City of Centerville <br />held a scheduled meeting on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Centerville City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> Chairperson Patrick Branch <br />Vice Chairperson Jon Grahek <br /> Committee Member Kevin Amundsen <br /> Committee Member Brian Peterson <br />Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br />Committee Member Mark Haiden <br /> <br />Absent: <br />Vice Chairperson Jon Grahek <br /> One Committee Member seat is vacant. <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> Council Member Steve King <br /> Public Works Director Paul Palzer <br /> <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Roll Call <br /> <br />Chairperson Pat Branch called the May 2, 2012 Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting to <br />order at 6:33 p.m. <br /> <br />II. SET AGENDA <br /> <br /> Mr. Tom Kohl, President of the Bald Eagle Water Ski Show was placed on the agenda under <br />Appearances. <br /> <br />,Haiden <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Seeley seconded by Committee Member , to <br />approve the agenda with the addition of Mr. Kohl. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />III.APPEARANCES <br /> <br />Mr. Thomas Kohl, President of the Bald Eagle Water Ski Show appeared before the <br />1. <br />Committee and expressed the Club’s appreciation for their support. Mr. Kohl stated <br />that the new show site at Trailside Park has brought higher attendance, provided <br />more exposure and increased membership. Mr. Kohl felt that due to the warmer <br />temperature and mild winter, the season could start in May. Mr. Kohl stated that the <br />show will have a new theme this year based on the Wizard of Oz similar to a June 2, <br />2012 appearance in Forest Lake. Mr. Kohl reported that the Club had been granted <br />a weed control permit for Centerville Lake in 2011 but did not utilized it and do not <br />believe it will be needed in 2012 either.
