• THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this day of , 2012, by and between Smith <br /> & Glaser, LLC, a Minnesota Limited Liability Corporation, doing business as iGovernment <br /> Solutions (hereinafter referred to as "iGovernment "), and the City of Centerville, a municipal <br /> corporation ( "Centerville "). <br /> RECITALS: <br /> WHEREAS, the cities of Circle Pines, Centerville, and Lexington have established the <br /> Centennial Lakes Police Department ( "CLPD "); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Centennial Lakes Police Department uses education as a means to <br /> promote public safety; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Centennial Lakes Police Department would like to use emerging <br /> � � g <br /> technology to educate offenders on an individual basis; and <br /> WHEREAS, the prosecutor for the cities of Centerville and Lexington has developed and <br /> tested an on -line system through his law firm, Smith & Glaser, LLC, to process tickets and <br /> 1111 provide public safety education to offenders on an individualized basis; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Governing Board of the Centennial Lakes Police Department supports <br /> implementing the alternative ticket processing and education program, subject to policies that are <br /> attached hereto as Exhibit A; and <br /> WHEREAS, Centerville desires to enter into an agreement with iGovernment for the <br /> online provision of a web -based ticket processing and education program; and <br /> WHEREAS, iGovernment is desirous to provide legal services in the form of a web - <br /> based ticket processing and education program. <br /> NOW THEREFORE the parties agree as follows: <br /> 1. Services. iGovernment will provide Centerville with legal services to prosecute <br /> administrative, traffic and criminal matters using its web -based ticket processing and <br /> education service. Centerville has appointed Kurt B. Glaser as its general prosecutor for <br /> • the purpose of providing legal services to the City. In addition, Kurt B. Glaser will <br /> 1 <br /> 15 <br />
