City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 24, 2012 <br />an additional letter attempting to rectify the matter. Attorney Glaser stated that he had <br />completed 30 years of research and felt that the title was probably fine; however, title <br />insurance would cost approximately $800 to ensure a clear title. Consensus of the <br />Council was for Staff to contact Commissioner Sivarajah regarding the matter and wait <br />for a response to the second letter requesting the correction. <br /> <br />Administrator Larson suggested that Council consider options for disposal with minimum <br />standards for offers to sell the property. <br /> <br />Attorney Glaser stated that the Centennial Lakes Police Department is well trained in <br />field sobriety testing and with the recent Minnesota Supreme Court ruling regarding the <br />Intoxilyzer 5000EN challenges and the upholding of the district courts findings that the <br />testing equipment is accurate only 10 cases have been delayed. <br /> <br />Council Member King reported that Comcast had submitted comments subsequent to the <br />FCC’s hearing date closed and Attorney Gazzeta would be forwarding a letter to the FCC <br />recommending that they do not accept Comcast’s documents. <br /> <br />Council Member Fehrenbacher reported that there would be a Police Governing Board <br />meeting on November 5, 2012. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar gave a brief synopsis of the recent Fire Steering Committee <br />meeting stating that the Department had received a FEMA grant allowing the purchase of <br />three (3) thermal imaging cameras, breathing apparatus refilling equipment, <br />acquisitioning of computer equipment and the hiring of a full-time Recruitment <br />Coordinator for a period of four (4) years. Council Member Paar stated that the <br />Committee continues to research the ability to choose who provides emergency medical <br />services to the district or the ability to provide our own services. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber reminded viewers and audience members about the upcoming in-person <br />absentee voting, Haunted House, Daylight Savings, General Election, and Veterans Day <br />Holiday. <br /> <br />X. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council Member Paar, and seconded by Council Member <br />Fehrenbacher, to adjourn the regularly scheduled Council Meeting of October 24, <br />2012 at 7:50 p.m. All in favor.
