City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 24, 2012 <br />Administrator Larson stated that he would be giving notice to affected residents that <br />would include estimated assessments and anticipated connection requirement date of <br />2021. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member <br />Fehrenbacher, to approve Res. #12-024 – Calling for Public Hearing on Street <br />Improvements with the removal of Lift Station #3 elimination ($1,892,750). All in <br />favor. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Res. #12-025 – Reimbursement Associated with Improvement Bonds <br /> <br />Administrator Larson stated that the resolution would allow the 2013 project costs to be <br />bonded for and also allow the City 18 months after the date of expenditures are paid or <br />the date the improvement is placed in service, but in no event more than three (3) years <br />after the original expenditure is paid. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love, to <br />approve Res. #12-025 – Reimbursement Associated with Improvements Bonds as <br />submitted. All in favor. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Homeless Awareness Month – November Proclaimed Homeless Awareness <br />Month <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber apologized for the late submission of this item and stated that some <br />other communities have not adopted it due to its timing. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member <br />Fehrenbacher, to proclaim November as Homeless Awareness Month as presented. <br />All in favor. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br />Administrator Larson reported that as Council may remember, the City joined the <br />Association of Metropolitan Municipalities and there will be an annual meeting to discuss <br />and adopt 2013 Legislative policies on November 14, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Administrator Larson stated that the Parks & Recreation Committee is lacking the <br />public’s participation in their one hour annual usage of a sheet of ice at the National <br />Sports Center and would like to obtain Council’s blessing in either letting the local <br />schools utilize it or schedule an event in conjunction with the school(s). Consensus of <br />Council was that this was a wonderful idea. <br /> <br />Administrator Larson reported that the previously the City offered to purchase surplus <br />property of the County’s on the corner of Main Street and Peltier Lake Drive with a <br />stipulation that the County provide a warranty deed; however, the County provided a quit <br />claim deed and sent a corresponding bill.
