City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 12, 2012 <br />Director Jeziorski stated that each property may not be experiencing the same downward <br />market value movement as others and as a result, properties with a smaller reduction in <br />value may pick up part of the tax share of properties with a larger percentage decrease in <br />value. Taxes are levied in dollars and then redistributed to the various properties based <br />upon the State mandated formula for assigning value to the properties. <br /> <br />Mr. Dean Luxenburg, 1697 Peltier Lake Drive, felt that the City was not considering all <br />avenues to decrease the City’s budget and felt that additional collaboration with other <br />municipalities and being more creative with staffing levels would allow the City to be <br />more fiscally responsible. <br /> <br />Council thanked Mr. Luxenburg for his comments and stated that they have been very <br />cognizant and innovative while considering the City’s budget, its impact on property <br />owners’ taxes. Significant collaborating with neighboring communities has been <br />happening and more efforts are being considered. <br /> <br />III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber added Centerville Claims (Check #27674-27681) to the Consent <br />Agenda, noted replacement pages associated with the Conditional Use Permit for Center <br />Mart and added Items #8 and 9 under New Business. Item #8, Consider Recycling <br />Incentive for 2012 and Item #9, Economic Development Project. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Love <br />to approve the Agenda as aforementioned. All in favor. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />1. November 28, 2012 City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />approve the November 28, 2012 City Council Meeting Minutes as presented.
