City of Centerville <br /> Parks & Recreation Committee <br /> January 2, 2013 <br /> will not be available; Committee Member Haiden offered to find some youth volunteers <br /> and most of the committee members would be available. Information currently on the <br /> website and other locations; needs to be added to sign board in front of City Hall. <br /> 6. Email Account — Receive Information of Interest (Twitter, etc.) <br /> After discussion, it was determined to delete this item from future agendas and the action <br /> item list. <br /> 7. Volunteer Flyer — Council Member Seeley <br /> Committee Member Seeley gave an update on a proposed Volunteer Flyer for Centerville <br /> based on a sample from Forest Lake. Some suggestions included having a volunteer form <br /> along with the P & R activities schedule and possibly a short survey included in the <br /> utility billing in April and on the website. She also discussed this idea with staff. <br /> vi. UPDATES <br /> 1. Council Updates — Council Member Steve King (at Council Meeting) <br /> Committee Chairman Branch informed the committee that the Council approved <br /> the City of Lino Lakes placing an aluminum can collection point in the parking lot <br /> at the City Hall. Proceeds to the proposed park on Centerville Road and Birch <br /> Street (southeast corner) <br /> 2. Kiosk Inserts — Committee Member Amundsen <br /> No update. However, Chairperson Branch mentioned there is a wealth of material <br /> at the Anoka County Historical Society that could be used if and when a historical <br /> kiosk might be built. <br /> 3. Smart Phone Application — Committee Member Peterson <br /> No update; change name from Application to Map <br /> 4. Enhancement Items for Music in the Park — Committee Members Grahek & <br /> Amundsen <br /> The headphones have been purchased at a cost of $107 including tax. The cable <br /> has not yet been purchased. <br /> 5. City Council consideration of Volleyball Court <br /> Per Committee's desire, the Goetz Landscaping Proposal was forwarded to <br /> Council Member King and also placed before Council at their January 9, 2013 <br /> meeting for consideration.
