DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT
2. Keeping Chickens in the City.
P &Z considered a request that the city Code be amended to permit chickens to be kept in
residential areas. They suggested that code language would be developed to mitigate
concerns, including, limiting the numbers of chickens to four as well as limiting the size
and location of a chicken coop. It was also noted that the three cities that are covered by
Centennial Lakes Police Department have identical Code chapters regulating animals.
After some discussion the consensus was that the council is very open to the idea and that
an attempt should be made to get Circle Pines and Lexington on board with the change.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:35 p.m.
Dallas Larson, Administrator
