PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE Wednesday, March 6, 2013 - 6:30 p.m. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks & Recreation Committee of the City of Centerville held a scheduled meeting on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Centerville City Hall, 1880 Main Street. Present: Vice - Chairperson Jon Grahek Committee Member Kevin Amundsen Committee Member Chris Bettinger A Committee Member Mark Haiden Committee Member Suzanne Seeley Committee Kevin Waeghe n Absent: Chairperson Patrick Branch (J Committee Member Brian Peterson Also Present: Public Works Director Paul Palzer Council Member Steve King I. CALL TO ORDER 1. Roll Call Vice Chairperson Jon Grahek called the March 6, 2013 Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting to order at 6:38 p.m. II. SET AGENDA Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee Member Waeghe, to set the agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. III. APPEARANCES 1. Mr. Thomas Kohl, Bald Eagle Water Ski Club (Benches, Portable Toilets and Grant for Invasive Aquatic Plant Management Permit) Mr. Kohl did not appear before the Committee. Mr. Kohl will again be invited to attend the next meeting of the Committee. Mr. Kohl is being requested to attend to discuss benches, portable toilets and potential financial assistance in treating Centerville Lake for milfoil. 2. Mr. Brian Nelson, Centennial Soccer The Committee discussed the Clubs responsibility to provide nets and striping if desired and to be mindful of abutting property owners curb space. Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee Member Seeley, to recommend to the Council to approve the 2 Id part of the summer /fall soccer schedule. Vice Chairperson Grahek abstained. Motion carried.
