PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> Wednesday, March 6, 2013 - 6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks & Recreation Committee of the City of Centerville <br /> held a scheduled meeting on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Centerville City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> Present: Vice - Chairperson Jon Grahek <br /> Committee Member Kevin Amundsen <br /> Committee Member Chris Bettinger A <br /> Committee Member Mark Haiden <br /> Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br /> Committee Kevin Waeghe n <br /> Absent: Chairperson Patrick Branch (J <br /> Committee Member Brian Peterson <br /> Also Present: Public Works Director Paul Palzer <br /> Council Member Steve King <br /> I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> 1. Roll Call <br /> Vice Chairperson Jon Grahek called the March 6, 2013 Parks & Recreation Committee <br /> Meeting to order at 6:38 p.m. <br /> II. SET AGENDA <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Waeghe, to set the agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> III. APPEARANCES <br /> 1. Mr. Thomas Kohl, Bald Eagle Water Ski Club (Benches, Portable Toilets and <br /> Grant for Invasive Aquatic Plant Management Permit) <br /> Mr. Kohl did not appear before the Committee. Mr. Kohl will again be invited to attend the <br /> next meeting of the Committee. Mr. Kohl is being requested to attend to discuss benches, <br /> portable toilets and potential financial assistance in treating Centerville Lake for milfoil. <br /> 2. Mr. Brian Nelson, Centennial Soccer <br /> The Committee discussed the Clubs responsibility to provide nets and striping if desired and <br /> to be mindful of abutting property owners curb space. <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Seeley, to recommend to the Council to approve the 2 Id part of the summer /fall soccer <br /> schedule. Vice Chairperson Grahek abstained. Motion carried. <br />
