City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> <br />January 8, 2013 <br /> <br />The following regulations might be among the rules to be included in a code change <br />regulating keeping of chickens in the city: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Maximum number of chickens would be four. <br /> <br /> <br />Chicken coops would be permitted in the manner of accessory buildings. <br /> <br /> <br />Permits would be issued for chickens and valid for either two or three years. <br /> <br /> <br />Coops must be kept a minimum of ten feet from any property line. <br /> <br /> <br />Coops may be kept in the rear-yard only. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Leave of absence. <br /> <br />It was reported that Matt Montain has joined the Centennial Fire District and will be <br />undergoing firefighter training for the next several months. He has requested a leave of <br />absence from the Commission. The matter will be brought to the Council, but Mayor <br />Wilharber has asked P&Z whether it would be a hardship if the leave were granted. <br />Consensus was that P&Z supported the request and wishes Matt success with his training. <br /> <br />VI. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> <br />1. Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes of January 2, 2013 <br /> <br />2. Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes of January 8, 2013. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Larson, seconded by Commissioner Koski to approve <br />minutes from the January 2 and January 8, 2013, meetings. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously <br /> <br />VII. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Lee to adjourn the <br />meeting at 7:50 p.m. All in favor.
