City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 17, 2013 <br />Administrator Larson stated that this item had been previously discussed at a work <br />session and Council consensus was to approve as presented. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to <br />approve the Res. #13-0XX Authorizing Staff to Write-Off a Loan Between Funds <br />– <br />(Res. #09-027) – Sanitary Sewer Fund from Fund 348, G.O. Bond Series 2009B <br />rd <br />(Hunters 3 Addition & Backage Road) ~ $388,296.24 as presented. All in favor. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />2. Res. #13-0XX – Authorizing Staff to Write-Off a Loan Between Funds (Res. #07- <br />022, 08-024 & 10-035) Sanitary Sewer Fund from Fund 402, Park Fund ~ <br />$1,124,936.565 <br /> <br />Administrator Larson reported that newly enacted legislation affects how the City must <br />justify park dedication fees, their uses and Council may desire to research the new law <br />prior to approving this resolution. Administrator Larson felt that the item could be tabled <br />to a later date. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />table this item to a later date. All in favor. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />3. Eckert Request to Utilize City Owned Parcel 7212 Mill Road for Wedding <br />Reception (Previously Requested Noise Special Event on Private Property & <br />Approved) <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber had concern for safety vehicles and passage if guest were parking on <br />both sides of Mill Road due to the narrowness of the roadway. Lengthy discussion <br />ensued regarding potential liability on the City’s part with the neighbor’s usage, possible <br />insurance requirements of the users and the neighbor’s willingness to secure insurance <br />that would name the City of Centerville as an additionally insured for this event. <br />Consensus was that Staff obtain whether the Eckert’s were willing to provide the <br />requested insurance and table the item. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member King to table this <br />item allowing time for Eckert’s response to the City’s request. All in favor. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />4. Planning & Zoning Recommendation – Variance, 7247 Main Street ~ Placement <br />of Shed/Garage in Front Yard <br /> <br />Administrator Larson stated that the homeowners are requesting a variance to remove <br />two (2) existing sheds and to replace them with one shed/accessory building in the front <br />yard. Council Member Love stated that a public hearing was held and the Planning & <br />Zoning Commission motioned to pass their request to Council with a recommdation for <br />approval . Council Member Love also stated that no individuals appeared before the <br />Commission providing input regarding this item. <br />Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br />
