City of Centerville
Council Meeting Minutes
July 17, 2013
would be totally completed this year, however, the southern portion (Center, Ivy and
Sumac Courts) would only receive the first layer of asphalt with the following year
receiving the final layer of asphalt. Administrator Larson reported that 29 out of 34
residents within the southern portion of the project signed up to connect to municipal
water services.

Council Member Fehrenbacher reported that at a recent Police Governing Board meeting
a resident of the City of Lexington requested that the Board modify the formula utilized
for determining the cost share for member cities of the Centennial Lakes Police
Department which would affect the proposed 2014 Budget. It was felt that additional
discussion was needed and sent back to the Operations Committee for further review.
Mayor Wilharber stated that the Police Department’s budget would affect the City of
Centerville’s budget and that all member cities needed to be on board with the proposed
2014 budget.

Council Member Paar reported that the Fire Steering Committee would be meeting in
several weeks and the Festival of Lakes City Celebration is right around the corner so if
anyone is interested in participating in any of the events, registration needs to be
completed as soon as possible.

Council Member Love stated that the Planning & Zoning Commission will be holding a
public hearing at their next meeting to receive public input regarding a City Code
amendment allowing screening for hot tubs, jacuzzis, etc. Council Member Love
reminded residents that the walking paths/trails are not to be utilized by motorized
vehicles due to potential for accidents between these vehicles and walkers/bikers.

Administrator Larson reported that Staff will be completing additional seeding in the
future of Laurie LaMotte Park associated with the damage that was caused by the flag
football event that was organized without the proper City permit and that the matter has
be turned over to Legal Counsel for restitution.

X. ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar to adjourn
the regularly scheduled Council Meeting of July 10, 2013 at 7:18 p.m. All in favor.
Motion passed unanimously.

Transcribed by City Staff Member Teresa Bender, City Clerk
Page 5 of 5
