City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> September 25, 2013 <br /> Item was discussed previously. <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King to <br /> approve the submitted Special Event Permit Application as presented subiect to <br /> additional provisions placed by the Centennial Fire District, Centennial Police <br /> Department and the Public Works Department and waiving associated fees. All in <br /> favor. Motion passed. <br /> 2. Special Event Permit Application & Temporary Event On -Sale Liquor License — <br /> Centerville Lions Use of LaMotte Park Ice Rink — Oktoberfest Fundraiser <br /> (October 19, 2013) <br /> Item was discussed previously. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member King to approve <br /> the submitted Special Event Permit Application and Temporary Event On -Sale <br /> Liquor License as presented subject to additional provisions placed by the <br /> Centennial Fire District, Centennial Police Department and the Public Works <br /> Department and waiving associated fees. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 3. Centerville Road Reconstruction <br /> Several residences who either reside or own property along Centerville Road appeared <br /> before Council expressing their concerns regarding the proposed reconstruction; tree loss, <br /> street widening, proposed turn lanes, and storm drainage. Many of the residents felt that <br /> there was no need for turn lanes and desired that Council represent their constituents' <br /> opinions to Anoka County on their behalf. Residents expressed their understanding of <br /> the roadways need for reconstruction, repairing storm drainage, adding municipal utilities <br /> and pedestrian sidewalk/bike path. Among those residences that spoke were Mr. and <br /> Mrs. Dave Popp, 1697 Hunter's Trail, Mr Robert Peters, 6831 Centerville Road, and Mr. <br /> Ron Hogan, 6892 Centerville Road. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding costs, potential assessments, the importance of storm sewer <br /> drainage, ponding, the County's possible repercussions with removing the proposed turn <br /> lanes (complete mill and overlay only or apply the funding elsewhere within the County), <br /> and resident's need to communicate with their County Commissioner also. Consensus of <br /> the Council was that the City Engineer should inquire of Anoka County as to whether the <br /> turn lanes would be a requirement of the reconstruction. <br /> 4. Ord. #XX, Second Series — Fee Schedule 2014 <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King to <br /> table the proposed ordinance All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 5.
