EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this _ day of October, 2013, by and <br /> between the City of Centerville, State of Minnesota, a municipal corporation, hereinafter i <br /> called "Employer ", as party of the first part, and Ellen Paulseth hereinafter called <br /> "Employee ", as party of the second part, both of whom understand as follows: <br /> WITNESSETH: ! <br /> WHEREAS, Employer desires to employ the services of said Employee as Part-time <br /> Finance Director of the City of Centerville; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council, hereinafter called "Council" to i <br /> establish certain conditions of employment; and <br /> WHEREAS, Employee desires to accept employment as Part-time Finance Director of <br /> said City. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants herein contained, <br /> the parties agree as follows: <br /> Section 1. Duties <br /> Subject to the limit on working hours, Employer hereby agrees to employ Ellen Paulseth <br /> as Part-time Finance Director of Centerville to perform the functions and duties specified <br /> in the attached Exhibit A, job description and to perform other legally permissible and <br /> proper duties and functions as the City Administrator shall from time to time assign. <br /> Section 2. Term i <br /> A. Nothing in this agreement shall prevent, limit or otherwise interfere with the right of <br /> i <br /> the Council to terminate the services of Employee at any time. Employee agrees to serve <br /> in the employ of Employer on an "at will" basis. <br /> B. Nothing in this agreement shall prevent, limit or otherwise interfere with the right of <br /> the Employee to resign at any time from his position with Employer. <br /> Section 3. Compensation <br /> Employer agrees to pay Employee for his services rendered at $55 per hour to be paid at <br /> the same time as other employees of the Employer are paid. No benefits of any kind are f <br /> available to this part-time position except for employer matching of PERA, FICA and <br /> Medicare. ! <br /> Section 4. Hours of Work <br /> i <br /> It is expected that this Employee will work approximately 20 -30 hours per month subject <br /> to the discretion of the City Administrator. It is further understood that this employee <br /> may work some of the hours remotely from home or another location, subject to approval I <br /> of the City Administrator. <br /> 1 <br /> i <br />
