City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 13, 2013 <br />February 8, 2014 ~ Not to Exceed $748.13 to be expended from 2014 Budget Line Item <br />Park Programs <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King to approve <br />the Consent Agenda as presented except for item #5 for discussion. All in favor. Motion <br />passed. <br /> <br />5. Council discussed the special use permit for “Shake Your Shamrock” 5/8K run and <br />tabled this for the next meeting when further information could be brought forward. <br />Council’s concerns were who does the clean-up after the race, insurance, police and fire <br />being available and who benefits from the race. <br /> <br />Council Member Fehrenbacher motioned to table the Shake Your Shamrock 5/8K special <br />event permit for March 14, 2014 for addition information, Council Member King seconded <br />the motion. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br /> <br />VI. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br />1. Mr. Lou Suski, Gaughan Companies – Realtor, City Owned Property ~ Update <br /> <br />Mr. Suski updated Council on the 8 properties the City has for sale. He stated he has a <br />very interested party for the property located on the corner of Main Street and Centerville <br />Road. Their plans for this property are very similar to what the City had in mind for the <br />downtown area only on a smaller scale. <br /> <br />Mr. Suski mentioned that he has sent out brochures to other realtors. He felt that the <br />overall market is starting to improve for commercial real estate. <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. None. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Res. #13-026 – Ordering Improvement of Street – (Royal Meadows Development) <br />th <br /> North Robin Lane form 20 Avenue to West Robin Lane and West Robin Lane from <br />th <br />North Robin Lane to South Robin Lane and South Robin Lane from 20 Avenue to West <br />th <br />Robin Lane and Cardinal Drive from West Robin Lane to 20 Avenue by construction of <br />water main and water main services. <br /> <br />Administrator Larson stated that this resolution would authorize the Engineer Statz to <br />begin the plans, preparing for the bid process. Administrator Larson also stated that an <br />additional survey would be forwarded to homeowners to ascertain whether income levels <br />have changed since completion of their last surveys. Administrator Larson encouraged <br />residents to return the form to the City as soon as possible even if they did not believe <br />that they qualify. <br />Page 4 of 7 <br /> <br />
