CALL TO ORDER <br /> Vice - Chairperson Grahek called the February 5, 2014 Meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br /> Committee to order at 6:34 p.m. at the City Hall location. <br /> Roll Call — see above <br /> II. SET AGENDA <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen seconded by Committee Member <br /> Waeghe to set the agenda by correcting the address under VI UPDATES 3 Change <br /> address from 7200 to 7212. All in favor. Motion passed <br /> III. APPEARANCES — Mr. Tom Lee, 2014 Music in the Parks Coordinator <br /> Mr. Lee reported that nine (9) bands have been lined up for the 2014 Music in the Parks <br /> event at Hidden Springs Park on Tuesdays, beginning on June 3 rd and ending on July 29 <br /> Each show will begin at 6:30pm and run for approximately 90 minutes. There will be no <br /> rain dates this year. There was discussion regarding asking the Lions if they would help <br /> with the lighting on those nights. The committee discussed the possibility of serving <br /> refreshments, i.e. ice cream, popcorn, lemonade, etc. at the first and last shows. The <br /> committee & Mr. Lee discussed promotion methods — posters /flyers, website, Facebook, <br /> Craigslist, etc. and agreed the advertising should be placed farther in advance of the first <br /> event. Mr. Lee suggested having one or possibly two banners made to promote the <br /> Music in the Parks with no specific dates but possibly the event name, day, time & <br /> location with placement at Hidden Springs Park & possibly the second at Centerville <br />
