City of Centerville <br /> Parks & Recreation Committee <br /> February 5, 2014 <br /> Road /Main Street. Mr. Lee will obtain information regarding pricing & possibly <br /> sponsors to pay for them. <br /> Once funds have been approved from the P & R budget, Mr. Lee will be sending <br /> contracts to each of the bands. The budget will remain the same as in 2013. <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Waephe, seconded by Committee <br /> Member Amundsen to approve $2,200.00 from the P & R budget- for this event All <br /> in favor. Motion passed. <br /> It was brought up that Centerville needs an agreement with Anoka County for permission <br /> to post P & R events on county park property. <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Seeley, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Waeghe for Ms. Bender to seek permission to post P & R sponsored events in 2014 <br /> in Anoka County parks and also the Hugo P & R. All in favor. Committee Member <br /> Amundsen abstained Motion passed. <br /> The JAM, which is scheduled for Friday, July 25, has four (4) bands confirmed and Mr. <br /> Lee is working on adding additional bands for this event. <br /> IV. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Waeghe to approve the minutes of the January 8, 2014 with the following corrections: <br /> Committee Business V. <br /> 2. Basketball Court(s) — LaMotte Park Hockey Rink: Reword the first sentence of the first <br /> paragraph to read as follows: It is anticipated that the cost of the equipment <br /> (backboards/hoops, posts, etc. would be approximately $1500.00 each or $3000.00 for the <br /> pair; Installation of this equipment would be an additional cost which has not vet been <br /> determined. <br /> 6. Flap Football/2013 field Damage: change the word in the second line from damage to <br /> damaged. <br /> 10. Park Property on Mill Road: change address on the first line from 7200 to 7212• <br /> change the word in the third line from felt to stated; remove the words either & or in the <br /> second line & add a period after park; remove the words from lines five & six <br /> "proceeds ...... the community ". <br /> All in favor. Committee Member Amundsen abstained. Motion passed. <br /> V. COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> 1. Basketball Court(s) — LaMotte Park Hockey Rink <br /> Public Works Director Palzer reported that this project is on hold to a later date <br /> pending funds availability. The cost for the equipment is approximately $3,000 <br /> plus installation costs. This project will be revisited during the summer, or sooner <br /> if funds become available. <br /> Page 2 of 7 <br />
