City of Centerville <br /> P&R Meeting Minutes <br /> April 2,2014 <br /> in the Council Chambers. Mr. King reported on the status of the potholes on Centerville <br /> Road and that the Fire Chief Jerry Streich had resigned. <br /> 2. Surplus City Owned Property for Sale—7212 Mill Road <br /> City Administrator Larson submitted a report to the Committee regarding the history of <br /> the parcel, along with copies of minutes and legal documents. His report concluded that <br /> "The records are not completely clear on why or how the City came into ownership". <br /> The Committee will be requesting some additional documentation, including minutes <br /> from the 9-4-79 Planning and Zoning meeting. <br /> 3. Chain of Lakes—Bald Eagle Regional Trail Master Plan <br /> Committee Members Seeley and Amundsen attended an Open House on Tuesday, March <br /> 25th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the Centerville City Hall. This item will be tabled until <br /> the May committee meeting. <br /> 4. Flag Football Tournaments—Mr. Teng Moua— SEE APPEARANCES (pg 3) <br /> 5. P & R Budget <br /> There is $1,039 remaining from the 2013 Parks and Recreation segment of the city <br /> budget. A recommendation had been made by Committee Chair Branch, via email, to <br /> place these funds in a reserve account with the committee making a decision on how best <br /> these funds should be used. <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee <br /> Member Peterson to request the City Council to place $1039 in a reserve account for <br /> Parks and Recreation. A portion of these funds would be used to pay the remainder <br /> of the cost of the installation of the benches — approximately $500 (Park Utility <br /> Improvements), with the remainder of the funds kept in this account to be used for a <br /> basketball court. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 6. Ball Field Signage <br /> Mr. Paul Palzer informed the committee that the signs have been made that designate <br /> whether specific fields are open or closed and have been installed. <br /> 7. Hidden Springs Park Clean-up - Saturday, May 3, 2014 <br /> Representatives of the National Honor Society have volunteered to clean up Hidden <br /> Springs Park on Saturday, May 3rd. Public Works will provide garbage bags and gloves <br /> for the volunteers. Committee Members Grahek, Amundsen and Peterson are also <br /> planning to be in attendance. <br /> VII.
