City of Centerville <br /> P&R Meeting Minutes <br /> May 7,2014 <br /> 1. Park Facility Permit Application- Centennial Youth (Flag) Football <br /> The Centennial Youth (Flag) Football has submitted an application for the use of <br /> the ball fields at Laurie LaMotte Park, Fields 1 & 2, from August 12 through <br /> October 3, 2014, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 7:30pm and Saturdays <br /> from 10:00am to 4:OOpm. <br /> 2. Park Facility Permit Application - Centennial Soccer Club <br /> The Centennial Soccer Club has submitted an application for the use of Acorn <br /> Park (south area of open grass) and Laurie LaMotte Park Fields 1, 2 & 11 —from <br /> August 1 through October 30, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to sunset. The Committee is <br /> unsure if these dates include weekends. <br /> Motion made by Committee Member Branch, second by Committee Member <br /> Peterson to recommend to the Citv Council to approve the Permit <br /> applications for both the Centennial Youth Flag Football and the Soccer <br /> Club as they have reached a mutual agreement for use. The Youth Flag <br /> Football will use the fields Mondays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. <br /> and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 mm. August 12 through October 3. The <br /> Soccer Club will use the fields Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from <br /> Au ust 1 throu h October 30 from 5 p.m. to sunset. & have also requested <br /> the baseball outfields. Committee Member Grahek abstained. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 3. Special Event Permit Application — Cub Scout Pack 432 Annual Summer <br /> Picnic & Rocket Launch <br /> Cub Scout Pack 432 submitted an application for their Annual Summer Picnic & <br /> Rocket Launch from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 7, 2014, with a rain date of June 14, <br /> 2014 at the ball fields in Laurie LaMotte Park. They have asked that the <br /> "fees/deposit be waived". <br /> Motion made by Committee Member Branch, seconded by Committee <br /> Member Peterson to recommend to the City Council to approve the Cub <br /> Scout Pack 432 Application for use of LaMotte Park ball fields for their <br /> Annual Summer Picnic and Rocket Launch On June 7, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. <br /> to 1:00 p.m. (with a rain date of June 14, 2014). Committee asks that the <br /> City Policy regarding the waiving of fees/deposits be utilized. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion made by Committee Member Seeley, seconded by Committee <br /> Member Bettinger to have the City Staff apply the policy for fees and <br /> deposits as approved by the City Council.
