May 14, 2014 City Council & Closed Executive Session Meeting Minutes <br /> The Mayor provided Council Members with an opportunity to amend the presented minutes. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member King to approve the <br /> minutes of the May 28, 2014 City Council & Closed Executive Session Meeting Minutes as <br /> presented. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 1. City of Centerville May 14, 2014 through May 28, 2014 Claims (Check #28687-28707) <br /> 2. Centennial Police Department Claims through May 22, 2014 (Check#9908-9934) <br /> 3. Centennial Fire District Claims through May 15, 2014 (Check #6404-6425) & Payroll <br /> (Check#6392-6403) <br /> 4. Pay Request #5 — 2013 Street & Utility Improvements, Northdale Construction <br /> $11,880.20 <br /> Mayor Wilharber provided Council Members with an opportunity to remove any item that they <br /> desired additional information on. <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King to approve <br /> the Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Anoka County Fire Protection Council Joint Powers Agreement <br /> Will be placed on June 11, 2014 City Council Agenda for consideration. <br /> IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Approve Storm Sewer Construction Contract (C & L Excavating, Inc.) — (Storm Water <br /> Enterprise Funds) - $50,550 <br /> Engineer Statz stated that this item relates to work in addition to and prior to the 2014 Mill and <br /> Overlay Project. Engineer Statz explained the Public Works Director Palzer solicited quotes for <br /> storm sewer construction near the intersection of Mill Road/73rd Street and Quebec/73rd Street. <br /> Engineer Statz recommended that the construction occur prior to the Mill & Overlay project <br /> assisting in the longevity of the project. <br /> Council Member Paar questioned repairs to storm sewers that have heaved in other areas of the <br /> community such as Dupre Road and Meadow Lane. Public Works Director Palzer stated that his <br /> staff would be completing most of those repairs; however, the contractor would be completing <br /> the patch and overlay to those areas. <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br /> 2 <br />
