City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> June 11,2014 <br /> Administrator Larson stated that the St. Paul Water Service would be considering the City's offer <br /> to purchase the abutting shoreland the following week. Council Member Love stated that the <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission considered and approved a lot split regarding the area assisting <br /> in the acquisition process. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member King to approve The City <br /> of Centerville/Bald Eagle Waterski Show, Inc. Permit Use of City Owned Property (a7 <br /> Trailside Park for Ski Shows 5/2014-8/31/2019 as presented. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> X. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> 1. Administrator Larson reported that due to foreclosure, the Trio Inn is no longer in <br /> operation, the current owners of Kelly's Korner have purchased it and intend on <br /> opening it as soon as licensing and renovations are completed. Administrator <br /> Larson stated that Mountain Enterprises has not relinquished their liquor licenses <br /> and due to the fact that they no longer own or rent the location which their license <br /> is issued for, their licenses needs to be revoked. Staff will be commencing that <br /> process shortly. <br /> 2. Administrator Larson reported that the Cities of Centerville and Circle Pines <br /> desire to schedule a Joint Session to set goals for the CFD subsequent to the <br /> withdrawal by the City of Lino Lakes. Administrator Larson stated that the <br /> meeting will likely take place late in June or following Independence Day. <br /> 3. Administrator Larson stated that residents requested that the City consider <br /> drainage improvements in their rear yards (Brian Drive/Brian Court area just <br /> south of Main Street/CSAH14). Staff forwarded a survey regarding the cost <br /> sharing policy that Council established, the need for all residents to be in favor of <br /> the project and assume 75% of the costs. Administrator Larson stated that the <br /> City received the surveys back with less than 50% of property owners willing to <br /> participate in the cost. Several comments from the residents stated that they felt <br /> the City should incur 100%of the costs. <br /> 4. Administrator Larson stated that with graduation parties, college children home <br /> for the summer and driveway sealing, many residents are requesting parking <br /> permits. Administrator Larson stated that the staff would like to request that the <br /> Police Department make it a priority to enforce the existing no parking between <br /> the hours of 3:00 a.m. — 7:00 a.m. regulations, except where a permit has been <br /> issued. Consensus of Council was that the parking rules should be enforced. <br /> 5. Administrator Larson reported that Council should consider having a Work <br /> Session at their next meeting to discuss the first draft of the 2015 Budget. <br /> Council Member Paar questioned whether the City had received any contacts <br /> from the realtor regarding offers on City owned property listed for sale. <br /> Administrator Larson stated that he has not be in contacted by the realtor. <br /> 6. Administrator Larson stated that Council previously preferred obtaining the <br /> services from Brimeyer Fursman as the Executive Search firm for filling the <br /> Administrator position and he would attempt to arrange a work session with them. <br /> 7. Council Member Paar stated that the Parade and Run Registrations were available <br /> on the City's web site and should be completed as soon as possible. <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br /> 4 <br />
