IV. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Waezhe to approve the July 2 2014 minutes, as amended—VI Updates 1. Council Updates <br /> add "the third revision of between the words "adopted" & "the" of the last sentence. All <br /> in favor, with the exceptions of Committee Members Grahek, Seeley and Bettinger who <br /> abstained. Motion carried. <br /> V. COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> 1. Centennial High School Baseball Booster Request for Sponsorship <br /> This request was reviewed and it was declined due to the fact that this Committee <br /> does not have budgeted funds to donate money to other organizations. <br /> 2. Special Event Permit Application for Tri Fitness "My First Tri"—requesting <br /> use of trails <br /> It was moved by Committee Member Grahek, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Amundsen to recommend to the City Council to approve this application to use <br /> the trails through Laurie LaMotte Park and around the Lake. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried <br /> It was moved by Committee Member Grahek, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Seeley to state: to include contacting the Lino Lakes &Centennial EMS &police <br /> departments & apply appropriate fees and damage deposit as deemed necessary. <br /> All in favor. Motion Carried. <br /> 3. Festival of the lakes 5K,8K and Kid Free % Mile Runs (ReCap) <br /> Approximately 150 people were in attendance; the men's restroom was <br /> vandalized; there is still a$200 sponsorship that has not yet been received. <br /> Additional updates to be provided at the September 3rd meeting. <br /> 4. Music In The Park/Jam Recap—Tom Lee <br /> Music In The Park: Nine bands were contracted to play; some were local and/or <br /> had a resident as a member. The cost for the bands was $2200.00. There were <br /> no rain-outs this summer. <br /> Jam: This was held at the warming house and there was no stage. There was <br /> discussion of possibly incorporating a talent show into this activity. The <br /> committee would like to focus more towards the children of the community. <br /> 2 <br />
