CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> September 24, 2014 <br /> 6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled <br /> meeting of September 24, 2014 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber <br /> Council Member D. Love <br /> Council Member Jeff Paar(Arrived at 7:11 p.m.) <br /> Council Member Steve King _ <br /> Council Member Ben Fehrenbacher <br /> ABSENT: None. `- <br /> STAFF: City Administrator Dallas Larson <br /> City Engineer Lee Mann <br /> Legal Counsel Kurt Glaser <br /> Mr. Mitchel Sperl, 6926 Oak Circle, appeared before Council, requested that the recent mailbox <br /> relocation project be again reconsidered from his picture window line of site in the front yard to <br /> along the property lines abutting 6936 Oak Circle and his property in the front yard and that City <br /> Staff work with him regarding this item. Mr. Sperl stated that he would again address Council if <br /> the outcome is not satisfactory. <br /> I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Wilharber called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> III. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> 1. Centennial School District Superintendent Mr. Brian Dietz <br /> Superintendent Dietz presented Council with the district's first ever annual report, Summary of <br /> Tax Impact for Proposed Plan and Proposed Building Improvements. Superintendent Dietz <br /> stated that two (2) questions will be on the November ballot for voters to consider which affect <br /> the district. Question 1 on the ballot—authorize issuing general obligation school building bonds <br /> in an amount not to exceed $49,935,000. Superintendent Dietz also stated that these bonds <br /> would allow for the acquisition and betterment of school facilities outlined in the Proposed <br /> Building Improvements summary and Question 2 on the ballot— revoke an existing referendum <br /> revenue authorization ($465.48/pupil) expires after taxes payable 2015; approving new <br /> authorization ($770.48/pupil). Superintendent Dietz reported that with the additional funding, <br /> the district would be able to expand visual arts, add world language, add STEM (Science, <br /> 4 <br />
