City of Centerville <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> October 7,2014 <br /> IV. OLD BUSINESS - None <br /> V. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. November meeting date conflicts with General Election. <br /> The Commission discussed possible alternative dates for the November meeting to <br /> avoid the General Election and the Veterans Day holiday. Consensus was to meet on <br /> Monday, November 3, 2014. <br /> 2. Proposed Plat—Lake Area Utilities. <br /> The Commission reviewed a proposed plat for property owned by Lake Area Utilities. <br /> The lot sizes and minimum setbacks to property lines are met in the proposed plat. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Montain to schedule a public <br /> hearing for November 3, 2014, at 6:30 p.m., on the proposed plat for Lake Area Utilities. <br /> All present voted in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 3. Proposed Plat—City of Centerville property at 7087 20th Avenue <br /> The Commission reviewed a sketch plat for the property at 7087 20th Avenue, owned <br /> by the City of Centerville. The plat would allow the property to split into two lots, <br /> one including the water tower, the other with the remainder of the property and <br /> buildings. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Koski, seconded by Commissioner Montain to schedule a public <br /> hearing for November 3, 2014, at 6:30 p.m., on the proposed plat for Lake Area Utilities. <br /> All present voted in favor. Motion carried. <br /> VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> The Commission reviewed a concept plan for a development in Lino Lakes north of Main Street <br /> and east of 201h Avenue. The subdivision contains over 800 lots and has a street connecting 21" <br /> Avenue over to 73rd Street. The Commission was very concerned with the street connecting with <br /> 73rd. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Koski, seconded by Commissioner Wood to direct staff to send a <br /> letter to Lino Lakes expressing opposition to the street connecting 21St Avenue to 73r Street. <br /> All present voted in favor.
