City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 12, 2014 <br />Mayor Wilharber stated that Planning and Zoning Commission met on November 3 and <br />th <br />held a public hearing to consider the request of the City of Centerville to plat 7087 - 20 <br />Avenue South (old public works site), which houses the City’s water tower. Mayor <br />Wilharber stated that the purpose of splitting the property is to allow the City to retain <br />enough land to have access and maintenance ability for the tower. Mayor Wilharber also <br />stated that additional discussions needed to be had with the County regarding road right- <br />of-way and access. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to <br />approve the Planning & Zoning Recommendation of findings and decision on <br />th <br />Platting 7087 – 20 Avenue South as presented. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued with Council Member King questioning timing and Attorney Glaser <br />stated that discussion at this time would be optimum. <br /> <br /> All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />th <br />5. Planning & Zoning Recommendation, Finding & Decision ~ Plat 6995 – 20 Ave South <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Fehenbacher to <br />th <br />approve Planning & Zoning recommendations on the Plat located at 6995-20 Ave <br />S. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br /> <br />6.Onboarding –Brimeyer/Fursman Services <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber explained the onboarding survey and its intended purpose to Council by <br />stating that it allows the new Administrator (Mike Ericson) to obtain input from Council <br />as to expectations, styles of communication, immediate priorities, expected approaches to <br />issues and special concerns. Mayor Wilharber also stated that it provides Mr. Ericson <br />with performance expectations, readiness for change and identify risk factors. Mayor <br />Wilharber stated that Mr. Fursman would work with Council to determine the specific <br />survey form to utilize to assist Mr. Ericson in succeeding with Council’s desires and <br />future avenues. <br /> <br />Council questioned Mr. Ericson regarding this proposal and Mr. Ericson stated that it <br />would provide him with a wealth of information to obtain optimum efficiency and a clear <br />picture of Council and their desires. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />approve onboarding services with with Brimeyer/Fursman not to exceed $500. All <br />in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />7. Trail Easement Correction. <br /> <br />th <br />Attorney Glaser stated that this item is in regards to the 6995 – 20 Avenue South Plat <br />and that upon completion of the engineering work it was discovered that the description <br />Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
