All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> IX. OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Anoka County Fire Protection Council Joint Powers Agreement <br /> 2. <br /> Administrator Ericson stated for several months Staff, local entities of Anoka County and <br /> their respective Fire Departments have been formally drafting this Joint Powers <br /> Agreement for shared services. <br /> Council Member King questioned the advantages of the agreement. Chief Devaney <br /> explained that due to the new Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Record Management <br /> System (RMS) system that is being implemented either the communities have input <br /> regarding the system through the Joint Law Enforcement Council (JLEC) or nothing, but <br /> this agreement is a requirement of the new system along with allowing all local entities to <br /> participate in pooling resources, grant writing, fire investigation, chemical assessment <br /> teams and youth fire intervention. <br /> Lengthy discussion ensued. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to <br /> approve the Anoka County Fire Protection Council Joint Powers Agreement as <br /> presented.
