City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> December 10,2014 <br /> Finance Director Paulseth stated that Council will be considering adopting the 2015 Budget and <br /> Tax Levy, will not be discussing property values for 2015, explained the tax impact versus the <br /> proposed budget, proposed increase in tax levy of 4.9%, inflation in tax capacity, new home <br /> construction, increased home values, local disparities, tax rate decrease of 8% from 72.6 to 66.4 <br /> in 2015, average home value increase of 12.5%, 6%increase in City taxes proposed for 2015 and <br /> a proposed total tax increase of 1.32%. <br /> Ms. Paulseth reviewed trends regarding the levy, general funds, debt services, street <br /> maintenance, revenues, tax base and recouping it following the recession, public safety <br /> expenditures, tax trends and how they all affect the proposed increase in the levy. <br /> There was no public comment offered. <br /> AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> Fire Chief Pat Devaney appeared before Council to answer questions that they may have <br /> regarding theAnoka County Fire Protection Council Joint Powers Agreement <br /> VI. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> Mayor Wilharber added Centerville Claims (Check#29168 through 29179) and added Item 14 <br /> under the Consent Agenda, Parks &Recreation Committee Recommendation to Transfer <br /> Remaining Budgeted Amounts to its 2015 Budget—Amount Unknown at This Time. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member King to approve the <br /> Agenda with the above stated amendments. All in favor. Motion passed <br /> VII. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> 1. November 12, 2014 City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King to <br /> approve the minutes of the November 12, 2014 City Council Meeting as presented <br /> All in favor.
