OUTFALL - Classification Screening Procedures <br /> A) Outfall Locations Classification <br /> 1. 1-Class: Priority Outfalls are High impacted areas requiring 20% of these <br /> areas to be inspection annually. <br /> a) Areas with older infrastructures that are more likely to have illicit connections. <br /> b) Industrial, commercial, or mixed use areas <br /> c) Areas with a history of illegal dumping <br /> d) Areas upstream of sensitive water bodies. <br /> 2. 2-Class: Routine areas are Medium impacted areas requiring 20% inspection <br /> annually. <br /> a) Outfalls that dump to water bodies <br /> 3. 3-Class: Low impacted areas requiring no inspection annually <br /> a) Remaining outlet structure that have low impact to the areas. <br /> B) Perform Dry Weather Screening <br /> C) Update the priority list annually to adjust the changes of the storm water <br /> infrastructure system. <br /> STREETS/STORM DRAIN — Curb Painting <br /> 1. Preparation <br /> a. Calculate the amount of paint required for the job. <br /> b. Determine whether the wastes will be hazardous or not and the required proper <br /> disposal of said wastes. <br /> c. Determine locations of storm drain inlets and sewer inlets that may need to be <br /> protected. <br /> 2. Process <br /> a. Paint curb. <br /> b. Prevent over-spraying of paints. <br /> 3. Clean-up <br /> a. Dispose of the cans according to the recommendations of the paint <br /> manufacturer. <br /> 38 <br />
