City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> February 25,2015 <br /> that current reside with the Centennial Fire District to be brought to the City of Lino Lakes as of <br /> January 30,2015 <br /> Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve Res.#15- <br /> 009 — Supporting the Transfer of Firefighter Service Credit and Pension Assets from the <br /> Centennial Fire Relief Association to the City of Lino Lakes as presented. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Attorney Glaser stated that language is being crafted so that this item can be taken to the <br /> legislature for action. <br /> 3. Review& Comment—Metropolitan Council's Draft Water Resources Policy Plan <br /> Administrator Ericson stated that the Metropolitan Council has requested written comments from <br /> the City regarding their plan. Administrator Ericson stated that if Council Members desired they <br /> could review the document and submit their concerns to staff but staff would also be reviewing <br /> it. Administrator Ericson also stated that the comments were due the middle of March and if he <br /> heard of other communities having concerns or adverse requirements involving northern cities he <br /> would incorporate them in Centerville's comments. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member King to table this item to <br /> Council's next regularly scheduled meeting of March 11, 2015. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> XI. COUNCIL & ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> 1. Administrator Report <br /> a. City of Lion Lakes Email Correspondence — Administrator Ericson stated that at <br /> Council's last meeting Staff was instructed to forward to the City of Lion Lakes <br /> its opinion regarding their request to leave the Fire District on January 1 rather <br /> than follow the January 30, 2016 date in the amended Joint Powers Agreement for <br /> the District. Administrator Ericson also stated that due to Circle Pine's response <br /> and the City of Centerville's response to their request, no meeting was needed for <br /> February 26, 2015 where they anticipated that they would be voting on the matter. <br /> 2. Council &Staff Reports <br /> a. Council Member King stated that as he reported previously that Century Link will <br /> be competing for cable service customers against Comcast shortly. <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated that the City's annual audit has commenced and desired to compliment <br /> Ms. Sweeney for her additional work and Ms. Paulseth for her work. <br /> Page 6 of 9 <br />
