Tours are given to residents, <br /> scouting groups, and elementary school classes. A police <br /> department tour allows citizens to get an idea of the facilities <br /> and equipment that police officers use on a daily basis. <br /> Information given during tours can be tailored to fit the <br /> objective of each specific group. <br /> NEIGHBORHOOD CRIME WATCH <br /> ;. Neighborhood Crime Watch Groups are designed to band neighbors together <br /> in hopes of preventing crime in the community. These organized groups <br /> watch out for one another. In order to stay active in the Crime Watch <br /> Organization, these groups must hold meetings twice a year. These meetings <br /> can be held at a residence or in a public location. <br /> i <br /> For more information on Crime Watch Groups or if you would like to start <br /> one in your neighborhood, please contact a CLPD Crime Prevention officer. <br /> WARNING OPERATION IDENTIFICATION <br /> Operation Identification is a citizen's burglary prevention program for use in <br /> homes and businesses. The Operation ID program involves the marking of <br /> . E property with an identifying number as a means of discouraging burglary and <br /> theft. When stolen property is recovered, officers are able to track ownership <br /> OPERAI LD' and return the property in a timely manner. The police department offers the <br /> tools and assistance to properly mark and record all valuables and property in <br /> your home and/or business. <br /> HOME AND BUSINESS SECURITY SURVEY <br /> This program is free to all residents and businesses of Centerville, Circle Pines and Lexington <br /> and includes a review of your home or business' windows, doors, locks, outside lighting, and <br /> landscaping.
