In 2014, patrol officers assisted CLPD Investigations by routinely handling the basic
investigation of incidents they responded to, developing and following up on leads, collecting
evidence and tracking cases. The patrol division also participated in taking statements and
assisted with other investigative functions. In 2014, a number of felonious cases had been
handled and resolved at the patrol level resulting in numerous convictions for a variety of cases,
continuing the diverse development and training of each patrol officer.
The hard work of Detective Carlson, CLPD patrol and supervisory staff, and the agencies CLPD
collaborated with in 2014, led to the prosecution, conviction, and incarceration of a number of
felony suspects. These efforts have increased the safety and security of the citizens in Circle
Pines, Lexington, and Centerville.
w
,-
s
Cenknnia`.Cake1 POAM 19eWF[MMt 12014 ANNUAL REPORT
