CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> April 8, 2015 <br /> 6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled <br /> meeting of April 8, 2015 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber <br /> Council Member Jeff Paar <br /> Council Member Steve King <br /> Council Member D. Love <br /> Council Member Ben Fehrenbacher <br /> ABSENT: None. <br /> STAFF: City Administrator Mike Ericson - - <br /> Legal Counsel Kurt Glaser <br /> City Engineer Mark Statz <br /> Planning&Zoning Commissioner Russ Koski <br /> I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Wilharber called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> III. APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATION <br /> 1. State Senator Roger Chamberlain <br /> Senator Roger Chamberlain introduced himself to Council, stated that he recently had an <br /> Opinion Column article that was published in the Quad Press regarding ground water, White <br /> Bear Lake water levels, Metropolitan Council (Surface Water Conversion plan), the Department <br /> of Natural Resources (Ground Water Management Area plan), and the White Bear Lake <br /> Conservation District. <br /> Senator Chamberlain strongly believes that the United States Geological Service study has not <br /> been completed and it is very premature to consider the Surface Water Conversion plan or the <br /> Ground Water Management Area plan until such time as it is complete. Senator Chamberlain <br /> stated that until the extent of interaction between the aquifer, the lake and natural events such as <br /> runoff and evaporation are determined the proposals could have wide ramifications on <br /> businesses, citizens and municipalities. <br /> Senator Chamberlain stated that several legislators have drafted legislation to request funds for <br /> feasibility and designs for a regional wastewater system which would allow for use of the <br /> 1 <br />
