City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> April 8,2015 <br /> regions own water allowing the aquifer to recharge and augment White Bear Lake if necessary. <br /> Senator Chamberlain also stated that other efforts are being made to request funding for a <br /> northeast regional water supply plan to determine additional alternatives to what has been <br /> proposed by the Met. Council and the Department of Natural Resources. <br /> Senator Chamberlain stated that the local communities continue to work on conservation of <br /> water and have set examples for others in the state. <br /> Council Members questioned their role going forward and Senator Chamberlain stated that <br /> communities needed to be involved and if requested to, speak with legislators regarding the issue <br /> and realities of imposing fees on businesses, citizens and communities for plans that do not <br /> involve their input or facts of studies. <br /> 2. Severe Weather Awareness Week—April 13-17, 2015 <br /> Administrator Ericson stated that each year Homeland Security and Emergency Management in <br /> collaboration with the National Weather Service and 16 State and local agencies and <br /> organizations sponsor Severe Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota. The week is designed to <br /> refresh, remind and educate everyone about the seasonal threats from severe weather and how to <br /> avoid them. It's also a great time to make and practice your emergency plan and build or refresh <br /> your emergency preparedness kit. <br /> Two of the most important events during Severe Weather Awareness Week are the annual <br /> statewide tornado drills when sirens across the state will sound. These drills are scheduled <br /> for Thursday,April 16, 2015 at 1:45 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. <br /> Outdoor warning sirens and NOAA Weather Radios will sound in a simulated tornado <br /> warning. The first drill is intended for institutions and businesses. PUBLIC INPUT/HEARING <br /> 1. Mr. Charles Reinhardt, Neighbor Property Line/Fence Update — Mr. Reinhardt stated he <br /> had contacted Mediation Services and they reported that they had forwarded two (2) <br /> letters and attempted to make telephone contact with his neighbor. Mr. Reinhardt had <br /> concerns for adverse possession of his property. Attorney Glaser stated that Mr. <br /> Reinhardt's concerns regarding adverse possession are unfounded due to the fact that he <br /> is bringing it to the attention of the City and the neighbor. Attorney Glaser stated that he <br /> would attempt to make contact with the neighbor, advise participation in mediation or the <br /> City would take alternative steps to resolve the matter. Attorney Glaser stated that it <br /> appears that a neighborly relationship could be promoted at this point if both neighbors <br /> showed willingness to participate in mediation and he desire to approach this issue in this <br /> matter. <br /> Page 2 of 7 <br /> 2 <br />
