City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 22, 2015 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to approve <br />Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar requested that New Business, Item #8 be discussed at this time due to his <br />need to leave early. Council concurred. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that the Anoka County Radio Club has submitted a Request for <br />Special Event Permit – Field Day Exercise for June 26-28, 2015 for use of the Laurie LaMotte <br />Memorial Park Parking Lot. Council Member Paar stated that this is an annual event of the club <br />to practice their skills and is held at different locations throughout the County. Council Member <br />Paar stated that this would be a 24 hour exercise and they would utilize battery power during <br />evening hours. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that the Club desired expedition of their request due to scheduling <br />with other groups. Council Member Paar explained that the Parks & Recreation Committee <br />would be receiving the Special Event Permit Application along with the Police and Fire <br />Departments. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love to approve the <br />Anoka County Radio Club Request for Special Event Permit – Field Day Exercise, June <br />26-28, 2015 (24 hr. operations), LaMotte Park Parking Lot as presented subject to <br />Centennial Police & Fire approval. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding waiving the park usage fee for this request, but requiring the $100 <br />deposit which would be refundable upon successful cleanup/inspection of the park area of usage. <br /> <br />Council Members Paar and Love accepted a friendly amendment to the motion including <br />waiving of the park usage fee but collecting the a deposit of $100 and if the park received a <br />successful inspection following their usage it would be returned to them. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. None. <br /> <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Lou Suski, Gaughan Companies <br />a. Purchase Agreement for Lot @ 7212 Mill Road <br /> <br />Mr. Lou Suski introduced himself and stated that he would like to present Council with a <br />purchase agreement in the amount of $45,000 from Boulder Contracting. Ms. Suski <br />stated that several months ago Council agreed to reduce the original listing price of <br />$65,000 to $50,000. Mr. Suski stated that the purchaser desires to close on or about May <br />29, 2015, however, the purchaser has requested “Seller warrants that the lot is buildable <br />Page 4 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
