DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT <br /> Figure 10 <br /> Regional trailhead facilities are located at Bunker Hills Regional Park and Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park <br /> Reserve. These parks provide ample parking,restroom facilities and additional trails and amenities within <br /> the parks.There are City owned facilities located at Lakeside Commons Park and Beach in the City of Blaine <br /> and at Marshan Park in the City of Lino Lakes. These provide parking and restroom <br /> facilities as well as additional outdoor recreation amenities. <br /> Trailhead signs,as illustrated in Figure 11 are proposed at the major intersections <br /> along the trail. Way-finding directional signs, as illustrated in Figure 12, will be <br /> posted along the trail at decision points as well. <br /> r _ Storm water management for the proposed trail is to follow <br /> _ the requirements of the MN Department of Natural BU NKER• <br /> ` Resources,MN Pollution Control Agency,Army Corps of • <br /> Engineers,Coon Creek and Rice Creek Watershed Districts, <br /> ' and any other permitting and regulatory agency <br /> requirements at the time of construction. For example,in Figure 11 <br /> certain jurisdictions,water quality treatment for a trail can <br /> be achieved through a minimum of a five foot wide vegetated filter strip or <br /> vegetated open space located down-gradient of the trail. The ownership and <br /> maintenance of the storm water management facilities will be the responsibility of <br /> Anoka County within county jurisdictions and the cities within their respective <br /> jurisdictions. <br /> Prior to the trails development a Natural Heritage Information System review will <br /> Figure 12 be conducted to determine if any rare species or rare natural resources features are <br /> Page 11 <br />
