City of Centerville <br /> Parks&Recreation Meeting Minutes <br /> July 8,2015 <br /> Mr. Branch suggested the runners should be handed a bottle of water at the finish line. <br /> WiseGuys will be providing pizza and it was suggested to purchase watermelon for the <br /> participants. There will be Free Comfort Yoga at 3:00 p.m. at Hidden Spring Park which <br /> will be a part of the day's events. <br /> Mr. Branch notified the Committee Members that he will be stepping down as <br /> coordinator after the 2015 events. A new volunteer coordinator needs to be found or <br /> possibly hire a coordinator. He suggested Mr. Randy Fulton and suggested that Mr. <br /> Fulton should be invited to a P & R meeting in the fall to see if he might be interested in <br /> coordinating this event in 2016. <br /> Mr. Branch provided brochures to the committee members for distribution <br /> IV. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Seeley, seconded by Committee Member Grahek <br /> to approve the June 3,2015 as written. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> V. COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> 1. Popcorn Machine Purchase- TABLED <br /> No update; request this item be placed on the agenda for the August meeting. <br /> 2. Short/Long Term Planning- TABLED <br /> Discussed some possible additions to the 5 year Park Improvement Projects: <br /> a. Arborist for City Parks <br /> b. Upgrade landscaping <br /> c. Shoreline restoration for Hidden Springs Park&Trailside Park <br /> d. Professional tree trimming for Hidden Springs & other parks <br /> e. Sledding Hill <br /> f. Upgrade audio equipment <br /> g. Remodel or replace Warming House <br /> h. Facelift for Cornerstone (fountain) <br /> Request this item be placed on the agenda for the August meeting <br /> 3. Playground Areas—Replacement with woodchips or rubber—TABLED <br /> Two proposals have been received to date. Request this item be placed on the <br /> agenda for the August meeting & notify Mr. Palzer in advance that this item will <br /> be discussed in August. <br /> 4.
