City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> August 12,2015 <br /> of the appointment and that has not happened or until January 1, 2016 when the City of Lino <br /> Lakes will no longer be participating in the District. <br /> Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love to the Accept the <br /> Letter of Agreement for Centennial Fire District Acting Fire Chief, Mr. Harlan <br /> Lundstrom. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> X. COUNCIL & ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> 1. Administrator Ericson <br /> A. Centerville Road (CSAH 21) Culvert Replacement Update <br /> Administrator Ericson reported that reconstruction of a culvert under <br /> CSAH21/Centerville Road west of CSAH54/20th Avenue would result in closure <br /> to through traffic commencing August 10 through August 14, 2015. <br /> B. Rush Line Corridor Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) Meeting (Update) <br /> Administrator Ericson reported that this Committee will be focusing on the I35E <br /> corridor for bus routes, park and ride and the Highway 61 area and not a future <br /> BRT route. <br /> C. Rice Creek Watershed District Public Hearing Judicial Ditch 3 <br /> Administrator Ericson reported that he would be attending an upcoming public <br /> hearing on August 31, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at the City of Hugo regarding correcting <br /> the drainage and would keep Council abreast of the project. <br /> 2. Council <br /> Mayor Wilharber thanked Attorney Glaser for negotiating a settlement agreement with the <br /> cancellation of the purchase agreement associated with 1691/1695 Main Street. <br /> Council Member Fehrenbacher reported that the Centennial Lakes Police Operations Committee <br /> is analyzing whether or not to fill the vacated Captain's position. <br /> Council Member Paar stated that subsequent to a Fete des Lacs recap meeting, it has been <br /> determined that the 2016 Fete des Lacs Celebration will take place the first weekend in August <br /> and the Lions agreed. Council Member Paar again thanked all individuals that were involved <br /> with this years' activities. <br /> Council Member Love desired to thank Council Members Paar and Fehrenbacher for their <br /> assistance in organizing the parade. He gave a brief review of the last Planning & Zoning <br /> meeting. Council Member Love expressed that neighboring communities had policies in place <br /> for storm/debris clean up and he felt that the City of Centerville should adopt a policy similar to <br /> theirs so that cleanup efforts are streamlined and cost efficient. <br /> Mr. Paul Palzer, Public Works Director,reported that the City's current vendor for lawn services, <br /> Goetz Landscaping, has ceased operation as of July 31, 2015 and he has been working diligently <br /> to obtain bids for replacement services. Council had concern regarding costs associated with <br /> contracting with another provider and Mr. Palzer stated that it appears as though there would be <br /> Page 5 of 6 <br /> 19 <br />
