<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning Commission held its regular <br />meeting on June 2, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> Chairperson Darrin Mosher <br /> Commissioner Matthew Montain <br />Commissioner Nick Twohy <br />Commissioner Tom Wood <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br />Commissioner James Flint <br />Commissioner Russ Koski <br />Commissioner Mark Haiden <br /> <br />STAFF: <br /> City Administrator Mike Ericson <br /> <br />OTHERS PRESENT: <br /> Council Member D. Love <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Chairperson <br />Mosher as Commission Member Montain was called out on a Centennial Fire District fire <br />call. <br /> <br /> <br />1.Roll Call <br /> <br />II. APPEARANCES <br /> <br />1. Mr. Mike Lobinsky, 6833 Lakeview Drive, Lino Lakes <br /> <br />Mr. Lobinsky stated that he is the buyer of the lot at 1407 Mound Trail. He will build a home on <br />the property, however, his current construction plans include a porch that would extend into the <br />rear yard setback by approximately 4’. He was advised by staff to apply for a variance or attend <br />this evening meeting to ascertain the Commission’s views on the item. <br /> <br />Discussion was held by the Commission regarding variance requirements and the fact that Mr. <br />Lobinsky would be inflicting a hardship on himself and he may not meet the requirements for a <br />variance. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Montain, seconded by Commissioner Wood to schedule a public <br />hearing for the July 7, 2015 P & Z Commission meeting, if Mr. Lobinsky determines he desires to <br />apply for a variance and staff will continue to assist Mr. Lobinsky in his plans.
