<br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />Wednesday, July 8, 2015 ~ 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks & Recreation Committee of the City of <br />Centerville held a scheduled meeting on July 8, 2015 in Administrative Offices of City Hall. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> Chairperson Jon Grahek <br /> <br />Committee Member Kevin Amundsen <br />Committee Member Brian Peterson <br />Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br /> <br />Absent: <br />Vice Chairperson Kevin Waeghe <br /> <br />Committee Member Chris Bettinger <br />Committee Member Charles Reinhardt <br />Council Member, Steve King <br />Public Works Director, Paul Palzer <br />City Administrator, Mike Ericson <br /> <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Chairperson Grahek called the July 8, 2015 Meeting of the Parks & Recreation Committee to <br />order at 6:40 p.m. in the Administrative Offices of City Hall. <br /> <br /> Roll Call – see above <br /> <br /> <br />II. SET AGENDA <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee Member <br />Seeley to amend the agenda by adding Mr. Pat Branch under appearances, #9 Issues with <br />lakeshore at Trailside Park & #10 Upgrades to audio equipment. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />III. APPEARANCES ~ <br /> <br /> <br /> Mr. Pat Branch – Festival of the Lakes (Fete de Lacs) and Out Run Homelessness <br />Runs Race Coordinator <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Branch provided updated information for the Festival of the Lakes 8K, 5K and Kids <br />Runs at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park scheduled for July 25, 2015. The Kids runs are <br />free with pre-registration or $5.00 the day of the event. Mr. Branch has found an official <br />who will certify the 5K run; the 8K had been previously certified. <br /> <br /> Committee Member Amundsen will be helping at a water station; Committee Member <br />Reinhardt will be helping with registration and City Administrator Ericson has been <br />asked to help also. Additional volunteers are still needed. <br /> <br /> <br />
