City of Centerville <br />Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br />September 2, 2015 <br />The Committee reported that the flyers had been completed, placed in the kiosk and <br />forwarded to the school for inclusion with the Friday Flash. Committee Member <br />Peterson felt that supplies on hand where sufficient for the event. <br /> <br />VI. UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1. Council Updates – Council Member Steve King <br /> <br />Council Member King again discussed volunteers for clean-up of the parks and the <br />utilization of members of the County’s Sentence to Service Program as an option. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Electrical Improvements at LaMotte Park, Paul Palzer <br /> <br />Public Works Director Palzer reported that all of the improvements had been completed. <br /> <br />3. Thank Yous/Recognitions (Pat Branch, Fete des Lacs 5K/8K Run/Walk <br />Coordinator & Tom Lee, Music in the Park Coordinator) <br /> <br />The Committee discussed ideas associated with thanking outgoing Race Coordinator <br />Branch for his dedicated services associated with the Fete des Lacs 5K/8K Run/Walk, <br />creative venues and Administrator Ericson volunteered to obtain a #1 race bib for <br />members’ signatures. The Committee also discussed ideas for Mr. Lee and it was <br />determined that a thank you would be in order. The Committee requested that both items <br />be presented to the individuals at the September 23, 2015 Council meeting. <br /> <br />VII. OTHER/ON-GOING <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 1.
