City of Centerville <br /> Parks&Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> September 2,2015 <br /> The spoke about the Shake Your Shamrock Run which they own and provide timing, <br /> marketing and registrations for. They briefly discussed fees, provided information about <br /> their organization, marketing and stated that they have known Administrator Ericson for <br /> several years due to other events that they have overseen. They stated that at this time <br /> they cannot be the run coordinators but they would be happy to assist. <br /> IV. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> Chairperson Grahek provided members with an opportunity to amend the presented minutes. <br /> Committee members requested that on page 1 of 6 under Appearances that the first sentence in <br /> the last paragraph"14.5 miles"be modified to"3 miles"and page 5 of 6 under Updates,Item#2 <br /> second sentence,modify the dollar amount to"$450"rather than"$250". <br /> Motion by Committee Member Peterson seconded by Committee Member Seeley to <br /> approve the August 5, 2015 with the above stated amendments. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> V. COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> 1. Use of Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park, October 3, 2015 w/Alternative Date <br /> October 10, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. (Cub Scout Pack 232) — Rocket <br /> Launch <br /> The Committee noted that there were no additional requests for the same time period. <br /> Motion by Committee Member Grahek, seconded by Committee Member Peterson <br /> to approve the above stated request. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 2. Use of Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park, August 30, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. — <br /> 5:00 p.m. (B-Day Party)—Pre-Approved <br /> Administrator Ericson stated that due to the timing of the event and the meeting, staff <br /> approved the item as there were no additional requests for the same time period. <br /> 3. Tour de Hugo,2015 <br /> Administrator Ericson stated that he has been attending meetings regarding the event, <br /> placed event flyers in the City's kiosk and stated that with the trailways within the <br /> community and throughout Anoka County's Rice Creek Regional Park, the Committee <br /> may be interested in participating in the planning of this event anticipating that it may <br /> enlarge to our community or planning a similar event in Centerville. <br /> 4.
