City of Centerville <br /> Parks&Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> September 2,2015 <br /> The Committee reported that the flyers had been completed, placed in the kiosk and <br /> forwarded to the school for inclusion with the Friday Flash. Committee Member <br /> Peterson felt that supplies on hand where sufficient for the event. <br /> VI. UPDATES <br /> 1. Council Updates—Council Member Steve King <br /> Council Member King again discussed volunteers for clean-up of the parks and the <br /> utilization of members of the County's Sentence to Service Program as an option. <br /> 2. Electrical Improvements at LaMotte Park, Paul Palzer <br /> Public Works Director Palzer reported that all of the improvements had been completed. <br /> 3. Thank Yous/Recognitions (Pat Branch, Fete des Lacs 5K/8K Run/Walk <br /> Coordinator& Tom Lee, Music in the Park Coordinator) <br /> The Committee discussed ideas associated with thanking outgoing Race Coordinator <br /> Branch for his dedicated services associated with the Fete des Lacs 5K/8K Run/Walk, <br /> creative venues and Administrator Ericson volunteered to obtain a #1 race bib for <br /> members' signatures. The Committee also discussed ideas for Mr. Lee and it was <br /> determined that a thank you would be in order. The Committee requested that both items <br /> be presented to the individuals at the September 23, 2015 Council meeting. <br /> VII. OTHER/ON-GOING <br /> 1. Popcorn Machine Purchase—Tabled <br /> This item was again tabled for discussion. <br /> 2. Short/Long Term Planning—Tabled <br /> This item was again tabled for discussion. <br /> 3.
