Recap for Tour de Hugo 2015 <br /> 1) We can safely raise our rates by $10.00 to $15.00 per registrant <br /> 2) Partnering with a Non-Profit/Charity for the revenue to go to (ALS, RA, <br /> Osteoporosis, Children's Cancer, Lyme Disease, Be the Match) <br /> 3) Add another volunteer to work registration area to cover sale of merchandise <br /> 4) Registration attendants should keep track of merchandise sold day of event <br /> 5) Have pre-registered rider stuff on one side of check-in and day of riders stuff on <br /> another side. Makes sure we have all the promised stuff to the people who were <br /> in the first however many we promised. <br /> 6) People love the time of the year the ride is with the beautiful routes. <br /> 7) Have non-profits man the water stops. Although I had some comments that the <br /> riders liked that the sponsors participated in that way. <br /> 8) Many comments to keep the box lunches from Big Apple Bagel. People liked <br /> these. <br /> 9) Healthy option for lunch, like a nutritional shake. When people register they have <br /> the option to pick between a shake or lunch. <br /> 10)Energy gels were well appreciated by seasoned riders <br /> 11) Credit card capabilities <br /> 12) Adding a 10, 65 and 100 mile routes <br /> 13) Need water stops every 20 miles on those bigger routes of like 60+ miles. <br /> 14) 12-15 mile option for the Family Ride instead of 6 <br /> 15) Most of the marketing should be geared toward securing the more competitive <br /> cyclists. <br /> 16) Dri-Fit t-shirts <br /> 17) Long sleeve t-shirts <br /> 18) Start promotion and advertising in January <br /> 19) Adding a route that involves Centerville and the trail around the lake. Name it <br /> "The Trail of Two Cities" to involve Hugo and Centerville. <br /> 20) Get on Eaglebrook's approved list for health dollars. Employees get HAS <br /> money but must do 3 items on their list of approved activities. <br /> 21) Bigger signs <br /> 22) Larger Turn signs going into turns <br /> 23) More "Ride in Progress" signs <br /> 24) Moving the start time of the City 6 to 11 am so parents riding on longer routes <br /> can get back to ride with kids. <br /> 25) Adding a 6 mile loop on the 18 mile route. <br /> 26) Getting on large corporation sites/wellness pages for possible teams. <br /> Contact 3M, Honeywell, Medtronic, etc. <br /> 27) Get onto Bike Club newsletters and websites <br /> 28) Have more merchandise for sale <br /> 29) Custom Tour de Hugo bike jerseys for sale <br /> 30) Have tire pumps and other bike tools at water stops. <br /> *** Selecting Next Year's Date: <br /> • September 11 is St. Paul Classic <br /> • September 17-18 is the art festival in Marine on St. Croix <br /> • How about Saturday September 24cn7 <br /> ** Creating our Board of Directors <br />
