Mike Ericson
From: Gretchen Halverson-Boyd <boydspromos@comcast.net>
Sent: Friday, September 25, 2015 7:59 AM
To: 'Oneka Chriopractic';'Sandra Bogenrief'; 'Phil Sr Klein'; Steve Lacher;
janine@kindergardenskids.com; kim@realstartitle.com; 'Susan Carlson'; 'Shayla
Denaway'; Mike Ericson; 'Carrie Hageman'
Subject: Tour de Hugo Recap Meeting
Attachments: Recap for Tour de Hugo 2015.doc
Importance: High
Hi All.
Thanks so much to all of you who could make it yesterday and for those that were able to email their feedback. It was
great to compile all of this and see where we can take our event next year. I have attached the list of feedback and
suggestions.
Our big news is that this is the first year we turned a profit with the Tour de Hugo. $2200.00 in profit. That is amazing
and great!!! Thanks for all of your help.
Here are a few things that were discussed and that came out of our meeting yesterday:
1) Targeted event date for next year—September 24,2016. A lot of the feedback from the riders was that they
loved the beauty of the routes(thus, "Bike the Beauty)and that these routes are the best kept secret. We want
to keep that enthusiasm going and by moving the event date a few weeks later, the routes will even get more
stunning with the turn of the leaves.
2) Many of us thought that for this year,we should hold off on securing a designated charity and to put our profit
back into the event for next year. Let's keep the event growing and when we get to possibly$5000.00 or more
in profit then we can re-evaluate our charity options.
3) Much discussion was done on securing more corporate teams for next year and inviting contacts from those
companies to attend one of our planning meetings. This is a great way to gain exposure and to gain riders.
4) Our next meeting will be Thursday October 29`h at Sam at Hugo City Hall. We will be spending the majority of
our time targeting those companies we want to approach about attending our Team Planning meeting. Plus,
we'll put a plan together as to who will contact who. Please let me know if you can make it.
If anyone else has anything they want to share with the group, please do so. We are already off to a great start with
initial plans for 2016.
Also,Aaron and I are meeting with Terry from Midwest Events on Monday to discuss marketing options and
opportunities. Look forward to sharing what we find out at our next meeting.
Have a super weekend.
Gretchen
Boyd's Promotional Products
This email has been scanned by the Symantec Email Security.cloud service.
For more information please visit http://www.symanteccloud.com
1
