2016 THIN OVERLAY PROGRAM
Project Summary and Proposed Improvements
PROJECT SUMMARY
Project locations are shown in the table below. Locations were determined by the Centerville Thin
Overlay Program's goal of overlaying streets around the age of 15 years since the last improvement,
coupled with site investigations by the city engineer and public works director to assess the
condition of various streets. All streets listed will receive either a 1 or 2-inch mill and overlay. The mill
depth will transition from 1 or 2-inches at the edge to 0-inches at the crown. Milled areas will receive
bituminous tack and a bituminous wear-course. All castings will be adjusted with steel insert
adjusting rings. Minimal curb and bituminous patching needs will be addressed by the City's public
works department prior to the project bid.
Age of Last
Road Name Length [ft] Proposed Overlay Year Last Improvement at
Depth Improved Time of Project
Construction
Mill Road 2,600 2" 1985 31
Meadow Court 550* 1" 1999 17
Meadow Circle 900* 1" 1999 17
Cottonwood 1000* 1" 1997 19
Court
Deer Court 500* 1" 2001 15
Hunter's Trail 1150 1" 2001 15
Robin Lane Area 2020 1" 1983 33
Trail-Meadow 1200 1" 1983 33
Cf.to Dupre
*Length includes equivalent footages to account for cul-de-sacs
City of Centerville Page 3
2016 Thin Overlay Program ® Stantec 193803352
