City of Centerville <br /> Parks&Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> November 4,2015 <br /> The Committee reviewed and modified this list. They also discussed needing <br /> additional storage for the P &R equipment. <br /> 2. Playground Areas <br /> Replacement of woodchips has been done in Acorn, Eagle and Royal Meadow <br /> Parks. Additional crushed rubber replacement to be placed at LaMotte <br /> playground area(s). <br /> 3. Requests for Donations <br /> The Committee would like the city staff to request donations from Dead Broke <br /> Saddle Club and the Centennial Youth Hockey Association to be used for these <br /> proposed projects i.e. sledding hill, warming house improvements plus others <br /> items on the 5 year Park Improvement Projects Plan. Administrator Ericson <br /> attended the Chain of Lakers Rotary meeting and they are looking to donate $15 — <br /> 20 K towards a community project. <br /> 4. 2016 Tour des Hugo/The trail of Two Cities <br /> Administrator Ericson will be attending their meeting on November 5, 2015. <br /> 5. 2016 Fete des Lac Festival Committee <br /> The Committee would like to see this become a weeklong event with active <br /> participation between the Main Street businesses, the Lions and the City of <br /> Centerville. Committee Members Peterson and Bettinger have volunteered to be <br /> the representatives of the P & R Committee. Administrator Ericson recently <br /> attended a Lions meeting and networked with them regarding the 2016 Fete des <br /> Lacs <br /> Sledding Hill <br /> Committee members Grahek, Seeley, Amundsen, Administrator Ericson & a <br /> Public works employee looked at a sledding hill at Oak Hill Park in the Bald <br /> Eagle Industrial Park in Hugo and also evaluated potential size of Centerville <br /> sledding hill. Approximately 20' to 30' wide by 10' high, utilizing from 700 to <br /> 1500 cubic yards of dirt as it needs to be longer than wider. Depending on size, <br /> three trees may need to be removed. Mr. Gerald Rehbein will be asked to <br /> provide/donate dirt for the Centerville Sledding Hill. <br /> VI. UPDATES <br /> 1.
