City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />January 5, 2016 <br /> <br /> <br /> a. 1709 Main Street – Condemnation Proceedings <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson stated that the School District has commenced eminent domain proceedings <br />to acquire the property. The Commission had a discussion on whether the City should participate <br />in the purchase of the property as a partner with ISD #12. <br /> <br />2. MN DNR Water Supply Planning & Conservation Meeting on November 24, 2015 <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson gave a brief overview of the meeting stating this was the third meting <br />requested by the judge after the lawsuit was filed. Discussion by the Commission included water <br />supply plans and water conservation goals of a 17% reduction. <br /> <br />V. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Discussion on Metropolitan Council System Statement <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed the statement and requested that the document be available in <br />Dropbox. The City Clerk completed this work. Administrator Ericson stated that the Commission <br />would be using the system statement as a guide for updating the City’s Comprehensive Plan by <br />2018. <br /> <br />VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />1. 2016 Fete des Lacs Festival Committee <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson gave a brief overview of the most recent meeting stating that another <br />meeting was scheduled for January 25, 2016. He stated that he would keep the Commission <br />updated on the Committee’s work. <br /> <br />VII. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.December 1, 2015 Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Koski seconded by Commissioner Montain to approve minutes <br />from the December 1, 2015, meeting as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Koski, seconded by Commissioner Mosher to adjourn the meeting <br />at 7:30 p.m. All in favor.
