A template is available at www.mndnr.eov/watersupplyplans <br />The list should include key utility and community personnel, contacts in adjacent water suppliers, and <br />appropriate local, state and federal emergency contacts. Please be sure to verify and update the <br />contacts on the emergency telephone list and date it. Thereafter, update on a regular basis (once a year <br />is recommended). In the case of a municipality, this information should be contained in a notification <br />and warning standard operating procedure maintained by the Emergency Manager for that community. <br />Responsibilities and services for each contact should be defined. <br />Current Water Sources and Service Area <br />Quick access to concise and detailed information on water sources, water treatment, and the <br />distribution system may be needed in an emergency. System operation and maintenance records should <br />be maintained in secured central and back-up locations so that the records are accessible for emergency <br />purposes. A detailed map of the system showing the treatment plants, water sources, storage facilities, <br />supply lines, interconnections, and other information that would be useful in an emergency should also <br />be readily available. Add rows to the tables as needed. <br />In the case of a municipality, this information should be contained in a notification and warning <br />standard operating procedure maintained by the warning point for that community. Municipalities are <br />,encouraged to -execute cooperative agreements for potential emergency water services and copies <br />should be included in Appendix 6. Outstate Communities may consider using nearby high capacity wells <br />(industry, golf course) as emergency water sources. <br />WSP should include information on any physical or chemical problems that may limit interconnections <br />to other sources of water.
